Creating a better World  [13th January 2022]

A brilliant article from Tony Robbins today highlighted how many enterprise leaders are driven to create a better world and a legacy for future generations … which is the case with the Good Turns Foundation … and its’ mission to ‘create a world where good is valued and people and communities thrive’.

I believe many individuals, communities and enterprises are increasingly thinking this way too ... and as Tom Hardy, actor and producer, recently said, 'we have to constantly ask ourselves the uncomfortable questions, such as is the world a better place for us having been in it' ... and when we do this it focuses the mind on creating a better world ... for individuals, communities and the world in which we live ...

Here's Tom Hardy's thoughtful words in full ...

"I think as human beings by nature as a species we are all flawed ... and we have to constantly ask ourselves the uncomfortable questions ... for instance is the world a better place for me having been in it" ...

"If the last few years have taught me anything it is that rather than change the world to better to suit our needs, how can we change ourselves to better to suit the world we all live in ..."

"To thoughtfully examine the roles we play and how best to be of use and to be of service ... in a noble pursuit to make the world a better place ..."

"I believe perfection is unattainable ... but that doesn't stop us trying!"

"We should constantly be evolving, redefining, predicting, analysing and adapting to whatever the world throws at us ... and in harmony with that world"

"And if one is passionate and committed in the noble pursuit of excellence within their chose field, be that the arts, technology, science, humanitarianism, conservationism ... then I would say one has a moral obligation and an ethical duty to be of service and to always strive to be part of the solution, not the problem ...'
