Purposeful Economics - Values and Purpose

Purposeful Economics - Value, Values and Purpose

Unintended consequences often take time to manifest, and often occur outside of the timescales/focus of politicians/investors.

Seeing houses/land as profitable "investment assets/vehicles", rather than "homes for families", results in reduced birth rates ...

... reduced birth rates results in the decline of a nation, and the death of a civilization if the birth rate falls below 2.1

... and if this happens a nation will become reliant on mass controlled immigration to survive ...

... which is where Britain is now ... land is 'banked', house building deliberately slowed to maximise profits, prices/rents through the roof, birth rate now less than 1.5, and net migration nearing 800,000 in Britain last year.

Growing voices talk of reducing controlled immigration - an attempt to address a 'symptom' (ie correlation only). It does not address the 'root cause' (ie causation) ... and for this reason it will not solve the problem ... ie it will not stop the 'decline of a nation' (or the 'death of a civilization'). Moreover, and as a result of additional unintended consequences (eg further workforce shortages and less tax receipts), such changes will only accelerate the rate of decline (rather than address it).

We need to understand the difference between 'correlation' and 'causation', and to address causation we will need 'purposeful action', Purposeful Economics, and Purposeful Government ... all dedicated to creating a thriving, flourishing Purposeful Britain.
