Purposeful Education & Purposeful Learning Environments

Within Purposeful Education and Purposeful Learning^† environments advanced 'personal tutors' and 'personal assistants' are now supporting educators/coaches to help individual students/learners assimulate information faster and apply knowledge more effectively.

This allows large amounts of time (over 60%) to be freed up for more project based learning (PBL). It creates the space necessary to develop additional knowledge & experience and essential skills for the future.

For instance essential skills naturally include critical 'human' skills, language, communication, curiousity, creativity, connection, and the development of strong values/ethics & active/purposeful citizenship (e.g. where good deeds are turned into habit).

It also provides the time needed to explore & understand, in an age appropriate way, how the natural world 'works' and how natural systems 'behave', e.g. from how our mind 'works' to how dynamic ecosystems 'behave' (cf how plants & animals rely upon one another).

It also allows time for learners to discover more about themselves, the communities around them, and the wider ecosystem. It would also create space/time to uncover/explore/pursue their individual passion(s), and what's most meaningful, purposeful, and personal to themselves (Finding You^†/Ikigai).

Human-centric AI is already playing a part in creating this exciting new future, with thriving environments rapidly being created by forward-looking educational establishments all around the world - vibrant places where all young people see hope, and opportunity, the opportunity to flourish.

In the very near future human-centric AI will also provide significant support to school leaders looking to create step change improvements in levels of engagement, academic outcomes, and levels of wellbeing within the school environment too (watch this space because we are helping out on this one).
